The Good, The Bad, The Bus

So far all is well abroad: Lindsay is now back in Spain (I will write up what we did soon enough I swear), the tests are still equally hard (and frustrating) but ok, and so far have not blown anything up in the kitchen....yet.

However I am beginning to miss some tings from home, namely my friends from Duncraven and my horse, and many of my Goucher friends. I must thank Duncraven though, because it greatly helped to see my horse dressed as a bus for halloween. I of course tossed my dirndl on again and opted to be a Bavarian for halloween (regardless of the potential for being politically incorrect). So here we are, the love of my life and I in costume:
In my Dirndl with Sarah
Crackers as a Bus :)

That aside, its getting much colder, and as much as I am excitedly anticipating the trip to Köln (Cologne) that Emily and I will be enjoying on saturday, I am a little homesick. I suppose its just that dip that everyone goes through when they study abroad. I'm sure it'll reside soon enough, and probably its just me remembering me how much I miss Goucher from my short but happy visit from Lindsay, along with the various facebook photo updates from everyone's Halloween celebrations in America. I really do love it here, don't get me wrong. I'm just craving my 'sisters' from back home, Crackerjack, my family, and Goucher & Duncraven.
Bis Dann!

  1. It's interesting that you're feeling homesick right now, cuz I felt exactly the same way when I got back from visiting you. I feel homesick every so often, but I just try to ignore it and focus on Spain. I'm sure it'll get better. :)
