So Lindsay came to visit me in Germany (which was amazingly fun), where she had her first beer and schnitzel !

I also decided to be brave and try Ochsentafelspitz, which is a dish with Ox meat, potatos and bacon green beans :) |
Also while here I got a chance to show her around Lüneburg and Hamburg, and see some of the things I'd gotten to see on a walking tour:
Starting from the top, we got to see the place where the Beatles used to perform, a beautiful piece of artwork made by a man on the street, The fountain at the Hamburg Rathaus, The St. Nikolai Church of Hamburg, The Johannis Church of Lüneburg, The Hamburg Rathaus (from far away), The back alley where the burnout club used to be, A monument (at the moment cannot remember the name) near the St. Nikolai, The St. Petri Church of Hamburg, More of the St. Nikolai (the next 2 anyway), the Inner Harbor of Hamburg, a view of all of Lüneburg from the Kalkberg, and the memorial site of St. Nikolai.
We also went into the elevator that has been installed at the St. Nikolai Church Memorial of Hamburg, and were lifted over 7500 meters into the air! Here is a photo to show you just how high that is!

We tried to work out just how high 75mi is...and shortly gave up |
We also HAD to visit the Reeperbahn, seeing as its a pretty lively place at night. For safety reasons, we visited it by daylight:
As you can see, the "Reeperbahn" is actually a street on which tons of clubs and various other attractions are located. However 'Grosse Freiheit' (or big freedom, as it were) is one of the biggest streets and is literally jam-packed with strip clubs, bars, and dancing venues. The most popular I'm told is 'Halo'.

One thing I didn't see the last time was this incredible breakdance/tricking/dance troupe that could literally twist one of their dancers into any fathomable position. Normally I don't give money to street performances in the states, but I was more than willing to throw down a euro for this particular trick you see here. |

While here, we also celebrated Halloween with a few friends (people in Germany DO in fact go trick or treating, we are not just ignorant Americans). Lindsay was an 80's Dancer while I tossed my Dirndl back on and opted for "A Bavarian", hopefully that isn't terribly politically incorrect.

My metallic skirt finally gets a usage, and Lindsay recalls the 80's |

Dirndl again? Why not? |

The leg kick is optional. |
Before heading out, we hit up a local restaurant that is fairly popular with students in the area, "Bella Italia". Ending the meal, Lindsay had an Apfelstrudel, which by the way was just as delicious as it looked:

Lindsay is safely back in Spain now!
Tschuss!(Servus)
