Weihnachtsmarkt, Rotterdam preview, and Registration from Abroad

So onwards! This week the first few mentions of Christmas were set up, and by mentions I mean 2 enormous trees, and various little booths with characters which jiggle around and talk to you in robotic German. Each display has some christmas-related scene, and is incredibly entertaining. I will take some pictures when the lights and glittery bits go up.

Also coming up this week, ROTTERDAM! I am finally getting around to visiting my friend Dan in Rotterdam (about an hour away from Amsterdam), and am CRAZY excited, there will be a incredible pictures soon to follow I'm sure. I am riding in an ICE because I feel like it, and arrive there in the evening.
In other news, HUGE kudos/shoutout/praise to my mother, who despite rediculously weird time differences and such, registered me for my Spring courses without any trouble at all, all the while enduring power loss and wonky scheduling problems, and the fact that it was IcannotstayawakeAAAH AM in Germany, and I actually fell asleep face-first on my keyboard as a result.
I sadly have little to know wildly exciting photos to show off today, except maybe this picture of TRACK 4 FINALLY BEING DONE!!
However that actually is just a silly joke, because the only thing"done" is Advanced German I & II; Seminar in German Language just started. Woo. And stuff.
To Goucher students thinking that USAC's program is for you, I only ask you proceed with extreme caution and review every single verb tense, sentance structure, and thingyouforgotbecauseyouhaven'tbeenspeakingGerman. You will get tested every friday, you willbe quizzed often, you will write many essays, and be asked to present many presentations about just about anything and everything. It will be hard, very very hard. However you will also speak more German than you have probably ever spoken, and you will be able to have fast-paced conversations with Germans within a matter of weeks. I so far reccommend this to motivated Goucher students. However, if you are just learning German...be aware that you will have the longest classes known to man.
